First space launch at SRS

On Tuesday 25th February 2014 , at 9:40, a few members of the Girls in Physics club will be launching Sydney Russell School’s first unmanned spacecraft from the school field. This will involve filling a large weather balloon with a lot of helium, and sending up a HD camcorder and GPS tracker with it to record the journey up beyond the Earth’s normal atmosphere. We are hoping for the video footage to be similar to the picture below.
